Recent Timeline
- Party dissolution and joining Counter Arrow (Season 2 Episode 1)
Rudeus asked to dissolve his adventuring party, which led nearby adventurers to speculate that he had been its sole survivor. Suzanne then invited him to take a request with her party, and he agreed to join Counter Arrow as rear guard after describing his support magic for frontline fighters. On a hunt in the north, Counter Arrow attacked a sleeping group of Luster Grizzlies, but the mud-covered bears surrounded them. The party refused to leave anyone behind and survived, and Suzanne credited Rudeus with saving everyone.
- Galgau Ruins attack and Soldat dispute (Season 2 Episode 2)
While Counter Arrow collected discarded Snow Drake scales at the Galgau Ruins, a creature attack interrupted the work. Suzanne directed attacks to divert the monsters, and Rudeus, urged to stop standing idle, fought alongside the party. Afterward, Soldat's party struck Timothy, accusing Counter Arrow of stealing their prey. The other party held an extermination job at Ilbron Cave, and Timothy suggested the cave and the deepest part of the ruins had become connected. Soldat apologized but insisted they could claim only one of the slain creatures. Later, after a blizzard and a Snow Buffalo attack in the western Trier Forest, Sara went missing and Mimir was reported dead. Rudeus searched, reflected on his own motives, and found Sara alive, and they returned together with Sara glad he had come for her.
- Sara and Rudeus break up (Season 2 Episode 3)
After a dagger-buying date and a drunken night in Rudeus's room that ended unconsummated, Rudeus insulted Sara's looks while drunk, and she overheard him with Suzanne nearby. Sara slapped him, threw away the dagger they had bought together, and told him she never wanted to see him again, ending their relationship.
- Rudeus's breakdown and near suicide (Season 2 Episode 3)
Drunk and despairing after Sara left, Rudeus struck Soldat and broke down. Soldat took him to the escort district, where he met Elise, and Rudeus was revealed to have become impotent. He then tried to kill himself with the dagger Sara had left behind, and Soldat stopped him. Rudeus refused to go after Sara, saying nothing mattered to him anymore.
- Luster Grizzly stampede and red dragon (Season 2 Episode 4)
Rudeus and Soldat's adventurers met a pack of at least ten Luster Grizzlies charging through a snowstorm. A red dragon then appeared, and the grizzlies were revealed to have been fleeing it. Rudeus concealed the threat with a smoke screen as the party retreated, and the encounter ended in celebration.

Ability Table
| User | Ability | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Rudeus | Chantless magic casting | Rudeus can produce magic without chanting incantations, a method he discovered by accident with water magic. He theorized that incantations automate the casting process, and he found that his magical capacity was growing, making incantations unnecessary for him. Its exact limits and costs are not yet established beyond his exhausting his reserves in early attempts. |
| Rudeus | Kishirika's demon eye | A demon eye gifted by Kishirika that causes pain when implanted; its power is regulated like incantationless magic, and it lets the user see roughly one second into the future, with anything further producing overlapping, unreliable images. |
| Rudeus | Disturb Magic | Rudeus practices Disturb Magic while traveling, in case he meets Orsted again. |
| Rudeus | Staff gifted by Eris | A staff commissioned from the kingdom's foremost staff maker from exceptional materials gathered worldwide, powerful but difficult for Rudeus to control. |
