Episode Summary

Retake the Climax

Facing a final proposal deadline at the end of Golden Week, Tomoya Aki makes no progress while Megumi Kato is in Hokkaido. Eriri Sawamura and Utaha Kasumigaoka each drop by and, in their own ways, push him to keep going. When he is about to give up, Megumi appears on the hill where they met, dressed and coached by Eriri and Utaha, and performs his ideal heroine. She asks him to make her a happy heroine, he promises, and they plunge into a planning session for the next day's deadline as Eriri and Utaha admit they are now part of it.

  • Deadline pressure

With a last-chance proposal deadline at the end of Golden Week, Tomoya Aki learns Megumi Kato is away on a family trip to Hokkaido, and he wastes his days without progress.

  • Visits from Eriri and Utaha

Eriri Sawamura barges in to work on her own manuscript after fleeing her father's garden party, tells him to give up, and ends up spurring him on. Utaha Kasumigaoka visits, says quitting would just return him to a comfortable life as a consumer, keeps the deadline, and advises him to get every circle member truly invested.

  • The heroine on the hill

Near despair, Tomoya goes to the hill, where Megumi appears in the white dress of their first meeting and acts out his ideal heroine, in an outfit redesigned by Eriri and with lines and coaching from Utaha. She came back early to support him and asks him to make her a happy heroine; he promises, and they start planning at once for the next day's deadline while Eriri and Utaha concede they have been drawn in.

Recent Timeline

  • Rejected pitches and the girl on the hill (Episode 1)

Tomoya Aki pitched his dating-game proposal separately to Eriri Sawamura in the morning and Utaha Kasumigaoka at lunch, and both turned him down. After school the two each came to the audiovisual room he had named, were startled to find the other invited, and traded insults, Eriri claiming she had come only to stop the project, while they waited for Tomoya, who never showed up.

Megumi Kato thanked Tomoya Aki for picking up her white beret over spring break, and he realized she was the girl from the hill. Since he could not even get her surname right, he concluded that the destined encounter he had believed in was apparently a misunderstanding.

  • Proposal rejected again (Episode 2)

Tomoya Aki introduced Eriri Sawamura and Utaha Kasumigaoka as his circle's illustrator and writer, and Megumi Kato as its main heroine, but the two rejected his expanded proposal again, saying it failed to convey what players should see and feel or what he truly wanted to make. Tomoya refused to give up, vowing to keep rewriting until they approved and to make Megumi a compelling heroine.

  • Overnight game session (Episode 2)

When Tomoya Aki called the slope near his house the place where they first met, Megumi Kato reminded him that they had actually first met at the entrance ceremony a year earlier. At his house he had her play a famous dating sim and its sequel through the night, and by morning a drowsy Megumi agreed to join his circle.

  • Eriri's visit and Utaha's check (Episode 3)

Eriri Sawamura slipped into Tomoya Aki's home to work on an adult manuscript for a weekend event, having fled her father's garden party to avoid greeting guests. When Tomoya insisted three days was enough, she called his reassurance an excuse for having made no progress, then admitted she had been worried about him.

Utaha Kasumigaoka came to check the work, and Tomoya admitted he had barely progressed. She argued that quitting would only return him to consuming others' work, agreed to stop discouraging him while keeping the deadline unchanged, and told him to involve every member seriously or neither the work nor his motivation would last.

  • Megumi's heroine performance (Episode 3)

Megumi Kato appeared on the hill in the white dress of their first meeting and acted out Tomoya Aki's ideal heroine, in an outfit redesigned by Eriri Sawamura and with lines and coaching from Utaha Kasumigaoka. She had come back early from Hokkaido and chose to cheer him on rather than sit in on meetings where she would be of little help. She asked him to make her a happy heroine; he promised, and they began planning at once for the next day's deadline.
