Recent Timeline
- Covert photo case solved (Episode 10)
Covert photos of the maid uniform were posted online. Kou deduced that Arisa had taken them herself after closing hours, since the photos were too polished, lacked underskirt shots, and were all taken when no staff or customers were present. He caught her in a locker stakeout. Her motive was to prove she remained popular after falling from the number one spot. Midori noted that many maids share the wish for recognition, so Arisa did not need to quit.
- Missing teacher's death at dawn (Episode 11)
Kou, Akira and Mahiru met a teacher who had vanished ten years earlier and was now a vampire, at the school at night. He admitted he had held back for a decade and could no longer resist, then bit Anko, who offered her neck, but recoiled because she tasted bad. Anko, a private detective, learned he had never fed properly in those ten years. She placed a silver ring in his hand and calmed him until dawn, when he turned to dust as a human, as she had said he would die that day anyway.
- Anko's ultimatum (Episode 12)
Shaken by the teacher's death, Kou could not tell Mahiru why he wanted to become a vampire, and Nazuna admitted she had been bored for decades. Anko then told him to choose between living as a human and becoming a vampire she would kill and reported a boy out at night to the police, and Kou hid in a playground until Hatsuka found him.
- Nico's conditions for sparing Kou (Episode 13)
Nazuna visited the other vampires to argue that Kou should be allowed to live. Nico smashed the table in anger, and the confrontation ended with Nico revealing the condition: Nazuna must make Kou fall in love with her, or he would be killed. Meanwhile Hatsuka offered to make Kou his offspring, which would save Nazuna, but Kou refused, saying he still wanted to fall in love with Nazuna.
- Night outing ends in a kiss (Episode 13)
While searching for Nazuna, Kou ran into police officers Anko had called earlier and fled to avoid being caught. He then found Nazuna at the place they first met, buying booze from a vending machine. They talked about having fun together and not getting bored. Nazuna resolved to become a vampire worth falling for and kissed Kou.

World Memo
- Vampires cast no reflection
Vampires do not have a reflection, so they cannot see themselves in mirrors or water.
- Vampire offspring-making
Vampires make offspring by acting in ways that attract humans; a vampire turns the human she chooses into a vampire.
- One-year window to turn
After a person's first blood-sucking by a vampire, they have one year to turn into a vampire; if they do not turn within that year, they never will and remain human.
- Vampire-human relationships usually not allowed
Among vampires, a relationship between a vampire and a human is generally not permitted, since such relationships usually do not work out; the Nazuna-Kou pairing is described as an exception.
- Silver ring and death as a human
Anko put a silver ring in the starving teacher's hand and calmed him so that he could die as a human rather than live on as a monster; how the ring works is not explained.
- The teacher turned to dust at dawn
When morning came, the vampire teacher turned to dust. Anko said he had been due to die naturally that day anyway.
- Ten-year death without blood
Vampires are said to die after ten years if they do not drink blood, and some who could not accept becoming vampires died without feeding.
- Killing among vampires technically forbidden
Killing another vampire is technically not allowed among vampires.
- Vampires know little about their own kind
Vampires themselves know little about vampires, so information about them is not deliberately withheld.
- Consequences for harboring a human
No strict rule requires the human to be killed, but consequences fall on both the human and the vampire involved, harsher for the vampire.
- Vampire turning and blood as food
A person can become a vampire only if they fall in love with the vampire who would turn them; a bite alone is not enough. Hatsuka claims he can turn someone by tricking their brain into believing it is in love, which he says is why his offspring look so happy.
For vampires, blood is simply food, and feeding does not require creating new vampires. Making many offspring is not a universal habit, and human blood tastes best at night, especially just before a person falls asleep.
Clue Board
- Cause of Kou's unstable emotions (Episode 5)
Kou experiences a mix of good and bad thoughts after the bath and cannot focus. He suspects either Nazuna's different hairstyle or his increased blood flow from bathing, but the cause is not determined. Sucking his blood calms the strong emotions for now.
- Kou's feeling after the bite (Episode 6)
After Nazuna sucks his blood, Kou wonders what he felt that day and whether he would be told if he asked her. The question is left unanswered.
- Nazuna's favorite taste unknown (Episode 7)
Kabura is intrigued to know Nazuna's favorite taste, and notes that Nazuna has never made an offspring before. The answer has not been given yet.
- Why Nazuna singles out Kou (Episode 7)
Asked why Kou is special to Nazuna, Kou states she found his blood tasty, which is why he decided to become a vampire. This answers the question raised by the group.
- Kou's fate after one year (Episode 8)
Kou has one year from his first blood-sucking to turn into a vampire. The vampires have now made it the condition for sparing him that Nazuna make him fall in love with her, so whether he can fall in love in time remains open.
- Identity of Mahiru's night companion (Episode 8)
Mahiru likes a person who can spend time with him only at night; Akira guesses she is an older woman and fears she may be a vampire, but the person's identity is not revealed.
- Cause of Seri's unhappiness (Episode 9)
Seri says things have not been fun recently, then says she was lying, but Kou senses she was not and suspects vampires can have problems too. Later that night she reveals the reason: she is tired of romance creeping into every relationship with humans and has no one to talk to.
- Anko's knowledge of Kou's private details (Episode 12)
Anko lists Kou's full name, living arrangement, school performance, hobby, romantic experience, and phone habits, which shocks Kou. She then reveals she was joking and only speculating.
- Source of Anko's vampire knowledge (Episode 12)
Kou wanted to ask Anko how she kills vampires, why her blood tastes bad while his tastes good, and how she knows so much about vampires, but he had to run before he could; the answers remain unknown.
- Identity of the three adults (Episode 13)
Kou wonders what the three excited adults at Hatsuka's home are and whether they are Hatsuka's offspring; no answer is given in this episode.
- Why some blood tastes good (Episode 13)
Vampires do not know why some blood tastes good and some tastes bad; the cause remains unexplained.
Deduction Board
Facts

- Spare condition revealed
Nico reveals that the condition for Kou Yamori not being killed is that Nazuna Nanakusa makes him fall in love with her.
- No strict kill rule

Evidence
- Nazuna's argument for sparing Kou
Nazuna Nanakusa argues Kou Yamori will not become a vampire and asks the vampires to let him live.
- Harsher penalty for Nazuna
The consequences would be harsher for Nazuna Nanakusa, who is the one in danger.
- Offspring offer refused

Inferences
- Possible one-year lifespan
Kou may have only a year to live
- Anko may stand down
If Kou Yamori lacks romantic urges, Anko Uguisu would not need to stop him.
- Spare depends on Nazuna
Since Kou Yamori refused Hatsuka's offer, his continued safety depends on Nazuna Nanakusa making him fall in love with her.
Suspicions
- Offspring intent doubted
The other vampires think Nazuna may be lying and have no intention of making Kou an offspring.
- Vampires may kill Kou
Akira says that since Kou knows so much about vampire habits he is a threat and the vampires will kill him
- Threat to Nazuna
Anko warns that if Kou never falls in love, his knowledge of vampires becomes a problem: even Nazuna, the vampire who drew him in, would be in danger, and the two of them could be killed.
