Episode Summary

8th Night: All of Us

Kou learns from Nico that he has only one year from his first bite to become a vampire, and Akira warns him that a human who knows this much about vampires will be seen as a threat. Seri coaches him on dating, his date with Nazuna ends with a flight over the city, and his old friend Mahiru reconnects with him.

  After bathing together, Kou struggled to focus and asked Nazuna to drink his blood to calm his strong emotions and clear his head, which also let him assess his feelings. She drank somewhat more than intended. Kou then went looking for a place to rest and ended up at a couples' venue. Later, Kou ordered a massage course from Nazuna's price list and learned she relaxes customers into sleep before feeding on them. As she was about to feed on him, a doorbell rang because she had forgotten to take the sign down, and Kou answered and invited the client in while the boss rested.

• Kiyosumi caught after being thrown from the window (Episode 6)

  Kiyosumi was called back to the office at 2AM by her boss. Kou blocked her and kept her in the apartment, saying he refused to let her go because her job made her cry. Nazuna then threw her out the window, and Kou and Nazuna caught her on the ground.

  Separately, Kou suggested a nighttime pool, which Nazuna liked. The club was crowded and Kou grew jealous when men tried to hit on her, so Nazuna took him to an empty school pool. They jumped in with their clothes on, and she then drank his blood.

• Abduction and the pact to become a vampire (Episode 7)

  Kou was taken by a vampire girl to a place where three more vampires waited. Offered a choice of one of them to turn him, he named Nazuna. An agreement was reached: Nazuna keeps drinking his blood and will turn him once he falls in love with her.

  A person can become a vampire only if they fall in love with the vampire who would turn them; a bite alone is not enough. For vampires, blood is simply food, and feeding does not require creating new vampires, so making many offspring is not a universal habit. Human blood tastes best at night, especially just before a person falls asleep, because it is infused with night. To become a vampire he must first fall in love with her, so she keeps drinking his blood while he tries. He reconnects with his childhood friend Akira, helps the overworked office worker Kiyosumi at Nazuna's cuddle buddy business, and faces Nazuna's vampire circle, who say they must turn him or kill him because he knows too much; Kou declares he wants Nazuna and will become a vampire.
