Clue Board

  • Reason for running away (Episode 1)

  • Why Kaoruko came back (Episode 2)

Subaru teared up over a childhood photo of herself and Kaoruko. Episode 4 shows why the bond runs deep: when boys bullied Subaru over her silver hair, Kaoruko was the only one who stood up for her, and the two have been together ever since.

  • Note from Kaoruko in Rintaro's notebook (Episode 5)

Saku found a note from Kaoruko in Rintaro's notebook, and Rintaro refused to explain. In this episode he asks Kaoruko and Subaru for permission and resolves to tell his friends everything — and the three overhear him explain at the restaurant.

Rintaro's distraction and fidgeting were noticed by his friends. The episode resolves it: he wants to tell his friends about his relationship with Kaoruko and Subaru and no longer wants to hide anything from them.

  • Subaru's library apology (Episode 7)

Subaru asks for a meeting with all six of them so she can apologize for what happened at the library in episode 3, when she told Rintaro to stay away from Kaoruko and called the Chidori boys barbaric.
