Recent Timeline
- Haryu's match and the interrupted outing (Episode 25)
On the final camp day Haryu played Taiki and won, admitting he had feared losing after never beating Hyodo and losing to Yusa, and judging that accepting fear and wounded pride is what lets him move forward. Later, Ayame's ex-boyfriend ran into her and Hina at an arcade and belittled Ayame to his friend; Hina stood up for her, and Ayame realized she had misjudged him.
- Café, Yusei practice and the viewpoint (Season 2 Episode 1)
At the café Matsuoka, already seated there, had Chinatsu sit at his table, treated Taiki as her fan and took her off to practice with Yusei University players, but she came back to the station and went home with Taiki. At dusk Taiki took her to a viewpoint, where she said she had always seen him as sincere, until Yumeka appeared and asked whether she had given up basketball.
- Taiki and Yumeka clash over quitting basketball (Season 2 Episode 2)
At a dental clinic recommended to Taiki, he unexpectedly met Yumeka working reception part-time for spending money. She said she quit the club because she disliked Chinatsu and was bored with basketball, a claim at odds with their former closeness and one she had already told Chinatsu. Taiki later found her playing casual basketball, which she dismissed as recreation; he argued that limiting herself wasted her talent and called her reasons for quitting excuses, saying she could have recovered. Yumeka answered that an outsider could easily make logical arguments about someone else's situation, and she asked what grueling club practice was for when her own future path was uncertain, a pro career was out of reach and only those at the top of a tournament finish smiling.
- Teammate's outburst and Yumeka's surname change (Season 2 Episode 3)
At practice Chinatsu urged her teammate Yuna to attack more and offered to practice with her, but Yuna snapped that not everyone can work as hard as Chinatsu; Chinatsu admitted she is not perfect either and asked her to improve together. Later Chinatsu learned that Yumeka's surname changed when her parents divorced as she finished middle school.
- Yumeka admits basketball enthusiasm faded (Season 2 Episode 3)
Yumeka admitted that her enthusiasm for basketball had gradually faded, that she often wanted to skip practice, and that she felt ashamed comparing herself to Chinatsu's apparent tirelessness. Chinatsu answered that she had been lonely since Yumeka left.
