Recent Timeline

  • Cult monster and Zenon destroyed (Episode 5)

A Cult-enhanced monster broke out from underground and rampaged through the capital; Iris's attacks could not stop its regeneration until Alpha defeated it with one sword strike, restoring its original form. Shadow then destroyed Zenon, who had taken red pills and become the Third Awakened yet still lost to Shadow, using an Atomic spell in the sewer tunnel. The blast leveled several city blocks and left a large crater at the center of the royal capital. Separately, Cid's refusal of Alexia's proposal led her to slash him behind the school building, leaving much blood but no body; the case became one of the school's seven unsolved mysteries. Iris then recruited the knights Glen and Marco Granger into a new investigation team to probe the Cult of Diablos and Shadow Garden, and both agreed to join.

  • Artifact decipherment and Shadow Garden impostors (Episode 6)

Princess Iris formally commissioned Sherry Barnett to decipher an artifact seized from the Cult of Diablos, and Sherry accepted, with Glen and Marco Granger of the Crimson Order assigned as her bodyguards. Shadow rescued Alexia from three men falsely claiming to be Shadow Garden, killing one in an alley and another on a rooftop, while Nu disarmed the last and began interrogating the pretenders. Cid gave his chocolate to Sherry, whom he had picked as the first girl he saw; she recognized him as the blood-soaked boy she had bumped into the other day.

  • Qualifying match loss to Rose (Episode 7)

In the first round of the student qualifying tournament, Cid fought Student Council President Rose Oriana and kept standing after each clean hit. The referee stopped the bout to prevent blood loss and declared Rose the winner, and Cid was carried to the infirmary. Rose noted his name, and Cid's public display of his techniques ended there.

  • Cid's shielding death and Rex squad massacre (Episode 8)

Cid jumped in front of attackers to save Rose and was killed. Alone afterward, he restarted his own heart with a secret technique that keeps blood flowing to the brain through magic. Cid then intercepted Rex and four of his men in the school corridors, kicked Rex into a classroom full of dead cultists, and finished him off after he panicked, realizing the killer was beyond an artifact's power.

  • Glen's death and Marco spared (Episode 8)

Glen, unable to use magic under the Cult's barrier, held off Rex together with Marco so Sherry could escape with her artifact. Glen was later found dead by Nu, having been no match for the Cult with his magic sealed away. Marco was found unconscious and spared by Nu and Cid, who decided to leave him alive; Nu had once been his betrothed.
