High School, where homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa puts them through a Quirk Apprehension Test and threatens to expel whoever ranks last. Izuku, who can only use One For All at full power or not at all, struggles through the tests, and when he tries to use it in the pitching test, Aizawa erases his Quirk. On his last throw, Izuku focuses One For All into his fingertip for an explosive throw that earns a high score and impresses his classmates, teacher, and All Might.
- First day at Class 1-A
Izuku arrives at Class 1-A, where Tenya and Ochaco introduce themselves, and Katsuki recalls how, after they both passed, he confronted Izuku for supposedly cheating his way in and Izuku stood up to him for the first time. Shota Aizawa then arrives as homeroom teacher and leads the class to the P.E. Grounds.
- Quirk Apprehension Test
Aizawa announces that the student ranking last in total points will be expelled, and the class tests their Quirks in a series of physical trials. Izuku struggles because One For All can only be used at full power, while Katsuki excels thanks to his versatile Quirk.
