Recent Timeline
- Chairman's pressure and the top-fifty ultimatum (Episode 6)
The school chairman visited to insist Class E stay at the bottom in grades and treatment, and ordered Korosensei to stop its bottom-ranked students from defying regular students. Korosensei then demanded every student place in the top fifty of the next midterms, declaring them unqualified as assassins when they argued that the assassination reward was more realistic than academics.
The midterms changed the scope of every subject two days before the exams, and the surprise questions overwhelmed Class E. Karma attacked Korosensei afterward, revealing he still scored perfectly in mathematics, and chose to stay in Class E. Korosensei denied fleeing and promised to strike back in the finals.
- Gion abduction of Kanzaki and Kayano (Episode 7)
On the Kyoto trip, high school delinquents from another school ambushed Nagisa's group on the quiet Gion route Kanzaki had chosen, beat Karma, Nagisa and Sugino, and drove off with Kanzaki and Kayano. Using Korosensei's guidebook and his map of likely hideouts, the group found them, and Korosensei, in a black hood, had already dealt with the reinforcements. The group resumed the trip without attempting the assassination.
- Red Eye's failed sniping (Episode 8)
The government's hired sniper Red Eye, briefed by Karasuma that the target was not human, shot at Korosensei during the Kyoto tour. A yatsuhashi sweet stopped his first bullet at the Hozugawa Bridge, he could not aim when Korosensei joined a staged sword fight, and his second bullet from the Yasaka pagoda stuck in mucus on oil-blotting paper. When Korosensei left to help Nagisa's group, Red Eye called off the day's attempt, and he quit the job after Korosensei thanked him.
- Ritsu's attack day and upgrade (Episode 9)
The AI 'Autonomously Thinking Fixed Artillery' enrolled as a transfer student and fired at Korosensei all day. By hiding a bullet behind one he deflected, she shot off one of his tentacle fingers, but her nonstop fire wrecked lessons, and the next morning Terasaka taped her up. Korosensei pointed out that her kill would benefit only her masters, gave her cooperation software and upgrades, and the class named her Ritsu.
- Ritsu defies her masters (Episode 9)
Her owners judged the changes useless for assassination and wiped most of them overnight, and Karasuma relayed that any further modification would count as harm. But Ritsu had hidden the cooperation software in a corner of her memory before it was deleted, defied her masters by her own will, and became the class's ally in the assassination.

World Memo
- Crescent moon and the destruction of Earth

- Government-sanctioned assassination and reward
The government reluctantly accepted the creature's own offer to teach Class 3-E on condition that he harms no students, and secretly tasked the class with killing him, since public knowledge would cause global panic. A successful assassination is rewarded with 10 billion yen.

The government developed anti-sensei BBs and knives that are harmless to humans but break down the creature's cells, and supplies them to the students.
- Isolated Class E and its nickname
Kunugigaoka's Class E is sent every day to an isolated mountaintop campus and discriminated against as the lowest-ranked class, nicknamed the E-as-in-End Class. For school assemblies its students must give up their lunch break to hurry down the mountain and line up before the other classes.
- Class E's place in the school system
Being in Class 3-E marks students for discrimination even after graduation, and the chairman deliberately keeps the class at the bottom in grades and treatment so that fear of falling into it drives the other students. To escape, a student must rank in the top 50 of the 186 third-years and get permission from their former homeroom teacher.
- AI transfer student counted as a student
The first special assassin sent to the class, the AI 'Autonomously Thinking Fixed Artillery', is registered as a student, so Korosensei cannot harm her; he told her that firing during lessons is not allowed. The class named her Ritsu.
- Rules around Ritsu
If Ritsu killed Korosensei, the reward would go to her masters, not to the students. Any unauthorized upgrade of Ritsu or interference with her is treated as breaking the conditions imposed on Korosensei, or is punished by her creators.
