Episode Summary

That Would Be Truly Wonderful

Madoka and Sayaka learn from Mami how soul gems power magical girls and how Kyubey grants wishes at a cost, and Mami warns that hunting witches is dangerous. Homura's earlier attempt to keep Kyubey away from Madoka is revealed, and the group suspects her motive is rivalry over grief seeds. After school Mami leads Sayaka and Madoka to an abandoned building where Gertrud is defeated and Mami claims the grief seed to restore her power, and Homura refuses to share it and throws it back.
