Recent Timeline

  • Father accepts Chinatsu's stay (Episode 10)

At a family barbecue, Chinatsu offered to help instead of being treated as a guest. Taiki's father apologized for keeping his distance, admitted he had hesitated to take her in, and said Taiki's mother had argued they should protect two important years of her life. He said this convinced him to support her wishes, and he was proud of her Inter-High qualification.

Later, on the way back from an errand, Taiki pulled Chinatsu out of the way of a car, touching her again without thinking. She asked him to forget what happened when he had a fever, saying she had not been considerate about living with a boy and would prevent a repeat. Taiki took this as a boundary and felt hurt that she seemed to be distancing herself.

  • University practice with Hyodo (Episode 11)

Taiki trained at the university, where Hyodo sometimes practiced ahead of entering it the next year. Hyodo noticed Taiki tensed up under pressure and advised him to relax, keep his wrist flexible, and prioritize shot angle over power. The advice produced a shot Hyodo praised.

Hyodo predicted that Haryu and Yusa would take the two Inter-High places next year unless things changed. Taiki answered that Haryu and Yusa were his targets.

  • Festival outing and a lost child (Episode 12)

With Kyo out with a cold, Taiki and Hina went to the summer festival alone together. After the fireworks began, Taiki was struck by how happy his compliment made Hina, and the evening ended with her wanting to return the following year, privately hoping to come alone with him again.

At the same festival, Chinatsu looked after a crying child separated from her mother while Taiki searched for the mother. He brought the mother to headquarters, and the reunited family thanked them, with the child giving Chinatsu a gift that was easier to wear than a yukata.

  • Chinatsu leaves for Inter-High (Episode 13)

Before leaving, Chinatsu received Taiki's encouragement and a new wish added to her bracelet. The bracelet had stayed intact after she qualified for Inter-High.

  • Haryu loses third-round singles match (Episode 13)

Haryu felt composed and physically capable, yet could not close a three-point gap in the third round, and Hyodo won the match.

  • Suppressed unpleasant memories (Episode 9)

While ill after exams, Taiki finds the unpleasant thoughts that studying had pushed out of his head coming back; normally he would go for a run to clear his mind, but he is too sick to. What resurfaces is his qualifier loss and his wish to reach the Inter-High with Chinatsu.

  • Unasked question to Chinatsu (Episode 9)

Taiki planned to ask Chinatsu about her intentions after her basketball final, but Chinatsu redirected the conversation and the question was never asked.

Taiki still has not asked the question he wanted to pose to Chinatsu after the tournament. He had asked permission for it earlier but now feels he has lost the confidence he had then, and Chinatsu steered the talk toward his goals instead.

  • Chinatsu's reason for staying in Japan (Episode 10)

Chinatsu's family moved abroad for her father's job, but she stayed with Taiki's family so she would not give up on reaching nationals; her mother and Taiki's mom were basketball teammates. • Hina's motive for the festival invitation (Episode 11)

Hina claimed she forgot to invite anyone, and a friend privately suspected she wanted to go alone with Taiki. Hina admitted Taiki assumed it was a group outing but could not ask again for fear of rejection. Her true feelings behind the invitation remain unconfirmed.

  • Unexplained presence while asleep (Episode 12)

Taiki wakes from sleep with only a vague feeling that someone had been there, after Chinatsu had been near him during the lunch break and asked her question while he slept.

  • Unclear romantic feelings (Episode 12)

Taiki suspects Chinatsu does not see him romantically because she changed clothes with him nearby, a doubt not yet answered.

Chinatsu thanked Taiki for the fried chicken and said watching Hina made her envious, leaving Taiki unsure whether she meant only the food or something more, so her romantic feelings remain unresolved.

Chinatsu asks whether Taiki has started dating Hina, saying the answer will affect her as his housemate, and admits that being lied to made her lonely; her underlying feelings remain unresolved.
