Episode Summary

I've Got Plans

The day before the festival, a pamphlet error moved Taiki's class play ten minutes earlier. On festival morning, with the gym unavailable, Taiki went running and met Chinatsu, who invited him to a second-year band's show at two.

Kishi, who had heard Taiki beat Yusa, demanded a match, and Karen brought them both to Chinatsu's class café, where Chinatsu was serving as a waitress and her friend Nagisa fended off a pushy customer.

Chinatsu arrived late to the show because her relief never came. Taiki asked why she had invited him, but her answer was drowned out by the guitar, and she promised to watch his class's play. Nishida, telling fortunes at his class's stamp rally, warned of a great trial, and soon the prince actor was hurt and the class needed a replacement.

Chinatsu was late to the concert after a shift handover fell through, then they listened together; Taiki's question about why she invited him went unanswered.

  • Fortune-telling and cast problem

Nishida, playing fortune-teller at his class's stamp rally, warned Taiki of a great trial, and the class's prince actor was injured, leaving the replacement search difficult.

Recent Timeline

  • Chinatsu moves out and a missed meeting (Episode 16)

Chinatsu's mother returned to Japan because Chinatsu's grandfather collapsed and needs surgery, so Chinatsu moved with her into a monthly rental for about a month, pausing her stay with Taiki's family. Taiki was taken running by Haryu and could not meet Chinatsu at morning practice; she boarded the wrong train and they kept missing each other until they confirmed the mix-up and agreed to meet at practice the next morning. Hina also met Chinatsu while sent to make copies, discussed Chinatsu's class café, and told her she had confessed her feelings to Taiki.

  • Festival awakening rehearsal with Hina (Episode 17)

While rehearsing the princess's awakening scene for the school festival, Hina admitted she had imagined actually kissing Taiki. She asked whether they should really kiss, accepted his refusal, and said making his heart race was part of her strategy, deepening the romantic tension between them.

  • Taiki's rematch win over Yusa (Episode 18)

Taiki kept pace through long exchanges and beat Yusa in a close match that went to the final game. Yusa was left unsatisfied and proposed another match, but Taiki's exhaustion led to objections, and Yusa was told he would face another opponent after resting.

  • Festival concert outing with Chinatsu (Episode 19)

Chinatsu was late to meet Taiki at the concert venue because the person taking over her shift had not come. She apologized and suggested moving closer to the stage, so Taiki felt the outing was real and not a misunderstanding.

  • Prince actor hospitalized before play (Episode 19)

The student playing the prince fell at another class's SASUKE-style obstacle course, hurt a leg, and was taken to hospital. Taiki's class needed a replacement actor, but the search was hard because most other students were away or busy with acting and backstage work.
