As One of Her Closest Friends

With no one else available, Taiki reluctantly takes over the prince role from the injured actor in his class's Snow White. He is nervous about his inexperience and about Chinatsu watching, and backstage Hina admits she is nervous too and asks him to help her as her closest friend.

Near the end of the play, Taiki shouts a warning as a decorative ball falls toward the stage, the performance is halted, and rumors spread that the two kissed. Kyo asks whether some of his feelings might be for Hina, but Taiki insists it is Chinatsu he loves. Back home, Chinatsu is there with her things: her grandfather's surgery went well, and she is moving back in.

Taiki agrees to play the prince after his classmates insist he is the only replacement, and he worries about performing and about Chinatsu watching.

While rehearsing the princess's awakening scene for the school festival, Hina admitted she had imagined actually kissing Taiki. • Taiki's rematch win over Yusa (Episode 18)

Taiki kept pace through long exchanges and beat Yusa in a close match that went to the final game. Yusa was left unsatisfied and proposed another match, but Taiki's exhaustion led to objections, and Yusa was told he would face another opponent after resting.

  • Festival concert outing with Chinatsu (Episode 19)

Taiki met Chinatsu at the concert venue after she was late because the person taking over her shift had not come. She apologized and suggested moving closer to the stage, so Taiki felt the outing was real and not a misunderstanding.

  • Prince actor hospitalized before play (Episode 19)

The student playing the prince fell at another class's SASUKE-style obstacle course and hurt a leg, and was taken to hospital. This left Taiki's class needing a replacement actor, and the search was hard because most other students were away or already busy with acting and backstage work.

  • Snow White play suspended by decorative ball incident (Episode 20)

Near the ending of the class Snow White performance, Taiki, the emergency replacement prince, suddenly warned Hina of danger. The play was suspended while people checked for injuries.
