The Goddess' Trial

At a Mitsugoshi hotel in Lindwurm, Cid meets Alexia in the hot springs, where she is attending as a special guest of the Goddess' Trial, an annual fighting ritual in which ancient warriors from the Sanctuary answer only worthy challengers. At the colosseum, Cid is entered as a challenger under the name Cid Kagenou and, after a delay, enters the arena as the masked Shadow.
