Recent Timeline

• Sanctuary assault and Olivier (Episode 13)

Cid and Aurora break through a battlefield memory where the dead rise to attack them, and Cid defeats them while Aurora is protected; they reach the center door blocked by a chained door and an undrawable sword. Delta destroys over a hundred Nelson clones with her Iron Slab sword despite the Sanctuary draining power, and Alpha deduces Nelson was once a scientist and that the clones share one brain. Shadow Garden finishes investigating the archive and withdraws, leaving Nelson unable to stop them. At the core, Nelson sends Olivier, a mindless shell with Alpha's face, against Cid; Olivier breaks his sword and wounds his shoulder, then stabs him, and Cid opens the right eye he had kept closed, saying he has caught Olivier as magic unaffected by the core flares through his circuits.

• Sanctuary destroyed and Aurora's fading (Episode 14)

Cid defeats the Olivier copies and casts I Am The All-Range Atomic, whose explosion obliterates the Sanctuary, the holy sword, the chained door, and Nelson. Epsilon reports the destruction to Alpha, who notes Nelson is dead and calls the outcome the simplest and most effective solution. Aurora confesses she called Cid into the Sanctuary and lied about other things, thanks him for a memory she does not want to forget, and fully disappears, after which Cid takes his leave.

• Mundane Mann at the Bushin Festival (Episode 15)

Gamma and her staff, with Eta's machine, build a realistic slime face mask, and Cid takes on the persona of Mundane Mann, a lazy, disowned Dark Knight, to enter the Bushin Festival unseen under a weak appearance. When Mundane brushes off warnings to quit the festival and taunts Quinton, the angered Quinton drags him into an alley and beats him, stopping only when Annerose orders it after Cid chooses to take the beating rather than fight. Newspapers report Rose stabbed her fiancé Perv Asshat before fleeing, shocking Cid, who had just learned she would meet her father to be introduced to him. In the preliminary bout, Gonzales Machom fell within a second and Mundane Mann was announced winner, disappointing the crowd while Annerose saw two quick punches land on the chin.

• Mundane defeats Goldy Gilded (Episode 16)

Goldy rushes Mundane and swings his sword, but Mundane dodges by cracking his neck. Goldy briefly imagines being cut, then conjures a golden dragon and charges again, only to be blown away, dragon and all, by Mundane's sneeze. Annerose observes that Mundane's speed exceeds normal human limits, making the win significant.

• Mundane defeats Quinton (Episode 16)

The day after the Goldy bout, Mundane easily beats Quinton, who had been pursuing him over his unseen tactics. The result, together with Mundane's mysterious entry and dark-horse odds, draws attention in the tournament.
