Episode Summary

A Forged Bond

Shinobu and Giyu reach Mount Natagumo and find the corpses of dozens of Demon Slayers. Tanjiro and Inosuke fight Father until Father flings Tanjiro far away, while Zenitsu fights the spreading poison atop the suspended house until Shinobu reaches him. Tanjiro comes upon Rui slashing Daughter and calls their bond forged, enraging Rui. Alone, Inosuke cuts off Father's forearm, but Father sheds his skin into a stronger form and nearly crushes him until Giyu arrives and cuts Father to pieces.

• Trio dispatched to Mount Natagumo (Episode 15)

  After a doctor confirms that the three Demon Slayers are fully healed, a Kasugai Crow orders them to head north-northeast to Mount Natagumo, launching the mission that brings them to the mountain. Earlier, ten Demon Slayers sent by a Kasugai Crow entered the forest, where under the demon's control they began slashing and killing one another, and only one survivor escaped. The massacre prompted the Kasugai Crow to report it and led to Hashira being sent.

• Controlled Slayers and headless doll destroyed (Episode 16)

  Mother snaps the necks of the remaining thread-controlled Demon Slayers once she deems them useless, and Tanjiro and Inosuke witness their deaths. The two then take on the headless doll, the most powerful of Mother's dolls: Inosuke cuts off its arms from atop Nezuko's box, Tanjiro severs its legs with Striking Tide, and Inosuke bisects it with a diagonal monk's hood cut.
