Episode Summary

Hinokami

Giyu ties up Inosuke after saying Father was no Twelve Kizuki, and Shinobu gives the poisoned Zenitsu an antidote. Tanjiro's sword breaks against Rui, a Lower Rank Five Twelve Kizuki, who slices Daughter apart and tries to take Nezuko as his new sister. Trapped in Rui's blood-thread cage, Tanjiro recalls his father's kagura and awakens Hinokami Kagura, and Nezuko's Exploding Blood burns the threads so Tanjiro can behead Rui.

With Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, he survives the tsuzumi mansion, where he defeats Kyogai.

On Mount Natagumo, Tanjiro gives the thread-controlling Mother a peaceful death, the poisoned Zenitsu beheads a spider demon, and Giyu cuts the giant Father to pieces to save Inosuke, saying Father was no Twelve Kizuki, while Shinobu gives Zenitsu an antidote. Tanjiro faces the true Twelve Kizuki, Rui of Lower Rank Five; when his sword breaks and Rui strings up Nezuko, he awakens Hinokami Kagura from memories of his father's kagura, and Nezuko's Exploding Blood burns the threads so he can behead Rui.
