Recent Timeline
- Pool dam trap ambush (Episode 14)
Terasaka fired the signal gun Shiro had given him, setting off an explosion that destroyed the pool dam and swept the class toward a cliff until Korosensei saved them all. In Karma's counter-plan Terasaka took Itona's blow, and the smoke-tainted shirt and the class's splashing weakened Itona until Shiro admitted defeat. Terasaka became the class's ally.
- Library bet with Class A Big Five (Episode 15)
At the main campus library, the Big Five picked on Isogai's study group of Nagisa, Kayano, Nakamura, Kanzaki and Okuda and made a hasty bet that the winner would order the losers around. When one of them said he would stake his life on it, Nagisa, Kanzaki and Nakamura pointed their pencils at the taunters' throats and eyes. Gakushu Asano turned the bet into a contract for both classes with 50 other clauses, including one requiring Class E to answer any question truthfully if Class A won.
- Final exam results: Class E wins the bet (Episode 16)
Asano kept first place overall and Class A held the top six spots, but Class E took first in English, social studies and science, winning the bet three subjects to two, and Asano was rebuked by his father. Karma dropped from fourth to thirteenth due to laziness and arrogance, and Korosensei's rebuke drove him away in despair, which prompted Karasuma to question Korosensei's approach.
- Home Economics tentacle claim and semester end (Episode 16)
Terasaka, Hazama, Yoshida and Muramatsu, tied for first in Home Economics, claimed one tentacle each, so Korosensei had to grant the right to destroy seven tentacles in all. At the closing ceremony Class E confronted Asano and the Big Five to collect the prize, a holiday resort on a tiny Okinawa island, where the class will use the tentacle right. The Chairman privately resolved to restore the old order over the summer, and Korosensei declared the first semester over.
- Island assassination set-up (Episode 17)
After a beetle hunt foiled Okajima's trap and Lovro coached the class, the students reached the Okinawa island, scouted while keeping Korosensei busy, and watched him waste his monthly skin shed on a sunburn. After dinner they led him to a theatre hut surrounded by water and announced it was time to kill him.

Facts

Lovro is invited by Karasuma to train the students while Korosensei is away escaping the summer heat on Mount Everest; he reviews the class plan and assesses their marksmanship.

Evidence
- Lovro spots Nagisa

Inferences
- Blackmail as the opening move
The class plans to rattle Korosensei with the beetle costume and the porn-magazine incident before striking, an opening Lovro calls quite brutal.
- Tentacle loss weakens Korosensei
Losing tentacles reduces Korosensei's strength, so the tentacle-destruction rights won in the exams give the class a real advantage.
- Plan likely to be sprung in the hut
The waterside theatre hut setting suggests the planned strike location for the night's attempt.
Suspicions
- Another unnamed weakness
Nagisa's narration says another weakness of Korosensei came up that day, more important than his inability to swim, but what it is has not been revealed yet.
- Interest in recruiting Nagisa
Lovro admits he would have loved to train Hayami and Chiba himself, asks Nagisa whether he is interested in assassination as a career and, though Nagisa politely declines, wants to nurture him further.
- Irina's opening
Irina expects the students' plan could backfire and intends to strike herself when it does.

Ability Table
| User | Ability | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Korosensei | Mach 20 speed | Can fly and move at up to Mach 20, fast enough to dodge a whole classroom's volley of BBs and to tutor each student at once with afterimage clones. |
| Korosensei | Tentacle regeneration | A tentacle destroyed by anti-sensei weapons grows back within seconds, though regrowing it uses up a good deal of stamina. Each lost tentacle cuts his speed by 10%. |
| Korosensei | Monthly skin shedding | Sheds his outer skin to escape danger, but only once a month, and using it leaves him weaker for a while. On the island he wasted it to remove a sunburn. |
| Korosensei | Keen sense of smell | Has a keen nose: he can sniff out sweets from far away and caught the unfamiliar men hidden in the storage shed by their body odor. |
| Korosensei | Mucus | Secretes a sticky mucus that caught a sniper's bullet on oil-blotting paper and doubles as bath foam that lifts away dirt. |
| Tadaomi Karasuma | Five knife strikes per second | Can strike a target five times with a knife in a single second. |
| Nagisa Shiota | Natural assassin's talent | Small and easy to overlook, he can walk up to a target holding a real knife as calmly as if walking to school. In the real-knife challenge he slipped behind Takaoka, froze him with a feinted neck slash and pinned him down, and Karasuma recognized him as a natural-born assassin. Lovro also senses the talent and starts telling him of a surefire killing technique. |
| Ritsu | Adaptive fixed artillery fire | Fires repeated volleys of anti-sensei guns at Korosensei and calculates the probability of killing him, which rises over time. It learns and evolves from its earlier attacks, so a fire pattern that once worked can be countered by Korosensei, but the AI adapts and can land hits, such as destroying one tentacle finger. |
| Itona Horibe | Tentacle hair | Hair that wriggles with tentacles like Korosensei's and can strike and land blows in combat. |
| Shiro | Anti-sensei robe | A white robe made of anti-sensei material that destroys Korosensei's tentacles on contact. |
| Shiro | Reaction-slowing beam | A special beam that hampers the target's reaction time; used in the duel to help Itona corner Korosensei. |
Season Summary
Season 1 — Season 1
Episodes 1–17
Korosensei, a tentacled creature that blew away 70 percent of the moon and vows to destroy Earth next March, becomes homeroom teacher of Class 3-E, the looked-down-upon 'End Class' of Kunugigaoka Junior High. The government offers a 10 billion yen bounty for the students to kill him by March, and Karasuma of the Ministry of Defense comes in as PE teacher to train them. Karma back from suspension, the assassin English teacher Irina, the AI transfer student Ritsu and the tentacled Itona brought by Shiro all take their shots at him, and through it all, including the Kyoto school trip, the students slowly regain their confidence. Chairman Gakuho Asano, who keeps Class E at the bottom, changes the midterm scope at the last minute, and at the ball game tournament the baseball club he coaches himself loses to Class E's boys; Korosensei leaves the deciding round with the chairman to the finals.
Nagisa reveals a talent for assassination by beating the brutal instructor Takaoka, and Terasaka, once used by Shiro in a pool trap, becomes part of the class. Class E then wins the end-of-term bet against Class A's Big Five and, through a Home Economics loophole, the right to destroy seven of Korosensei's tentacles, to be used on the Okinawa resort island it won as a prize.
After training with the veteran assassin Lovro, the class reaches the island, keeps a sunburnt Korosensei busy until he wastes his monthly skin shed, and leads him to a theatre hut surrounded by water to begin the assassination.
